I found a great deal online at Plum District, offering $20 off  a Healthy Surprise subscription. I decided to order a Starter Box to try it out. Prior to finding this coupon, Healthy Surprise was out of my price range. The Starter Box is $33 a month, plus $6.99 shipping PLUS they charge Canadians an additional $9.99 for shipping (charged after the box ships), so Canadians end up paying $49.98 per month, $16.98 of that in …

Wantable Jewelry Box Review - May 2013 - Jewellery/Jewelry Subscription Box

What is it?Wantable
How Much? $36 monthly or $40 one time purchase, plus approximately $10 shipping
What's in it? Make up box includes 4-6 full-size premium makeup products. Jewelry box includes 4-5 boutique jewellery pieces. All are picked to match your profile preferences. Back in March, Wantable announced they would start shipping to Canada and offered a chance for Canadians to receive their first box free. I registered my e-mail address and waited patiently for news. On May 8th, I received an e-mail from Wantable offering me a chance to be part of a "Canadian Test". I should note, this e-mail was sent to my personal e-mail account and is not associated to my blog in any way, meaning this offer was not made because I have a subscription review blog. The e-mail said only 10 people were given this offer (not sure I believe that since I know of at least 2 other bloggers alone).

To participate in the Canadian Test, I would have to register for a subscription and pay ful…

Ipsy Glam Bag Review - May 2013 - Beauty Subscription Box

Image
What is it?Ipsy Glam Bag
How Much? $10 per month, plus $4.95 shipping to Canada
What’s in it?  4-5 beauty products every month
My very first Ipsy Glam Bag arrived today! Prior to April, Ipsy had a wait list for the Glam Bag but they opened up subscriptions for April and again for May. I didn't hesitate to sign up! The very first thing I noticed is that the Glam Bag ships within Canada. Ipsy is an American based service but it looks like they handle their Canadian shipping domestically, out of Ontario. The bag arrived to me in less than a week! And I LOVE the hot pink bubble mailer and was happy to see it fits in my condo mail slot.

The theme this month is "Spring Fling". The cosmetic pouch is nylon and a turquoise, orange and white chevron pattern. Kind of like a vintage Missoni print!
