Topbox 24clearit Review - March 2014 - Beauty Subscription Box

What is it? Topbox
How Much? $12 per month, shipping included
What’s in it?  4 deluxe beauty samples

Topbox was a bit unexpected this month. I forgot that I marked the 24clearit box when making my wish list selection, so I was a little surprised when this box arrived. This review will be different than my usual Topbox reviews.

Until receiving this box, I'd never heard of 24clearit. I had to do some research. It's an Acne Therapy system, similar to Proactiv, that is available online.

The skincare experts at 24clearit decided to work with top chemists to create a new and fresh approach to treating acne. It was based on a simple question: how can we develop an effective Acne Treatment that leaves skin clear, smooth and glowing.
The answer was simple – add important hydrating and protecting ingredients at the right concentrations to the smart acne medicine – and deliver in different formulations for day and night. With skin protection during the day, and restorative ingredients at night, you’ll enjoy the best of skin care AND acne care. You will always get the right ingredients, at optimal effective concentrations, at the right time and that’s the 24clearit Day & Night difference for clear and glowing skin.

I'm in my mid-30's but I still suffer monthly bouts of hormonal acne. I'm always on the hunt for good, effective, and gentle acne-fighting products.

The 24clearit Topbox includes the full four piece Day/Night Acne Therapy System, plus a bonus gift. The exact kit, as shown above, can be purchased online for $39.95 USD. The retail value, if the products are purchased individually, is double.

The kit includes a 60 day supply of the following products:

  • Active Exfoliating Cleanser (4oz, $12.95)
  • Essential Clearing Toner (4oz, $12.95)
  • AM Clarifying Treatment (1oz, $14.95)
  • PM Recovery Treatment (1oz, $14.95)
  • Advanced Treatment Mask (1oz, bonus gift)

24clearit is a membership/subscription program. When you order the introductory kit on the website, you are automatically upgraded to Preferred Customer status and enrolled in the membership program, which includes auto-replenishment of your kit every 60 days. Each kit costs $39.95, but the products can be purchased individually at preferred prices.

Shipping is $7.99 per kit, plus an additional $2 for Canadians. Canadian orders are shipped within Canada so there are no customs issues.  Use promo code 4FREESHIP to get free shipping on your next 24clearit purchase.

While this Topbox was not what I was expecting, I'm really happy I received the 24clearit kit. It's something I definitely need right now, and it's a great value. I paid $13.44 for my March Topbox and received a kit that would have cost me over $50 CDN with shipping.

If you are interested in trying Topbox, drop me an e-mail (cdnboxaddict at gmail dot com) and I will send you an invitation link. The invitation does not allow you to skip the wait list - it just  gives me referral credits. You can also sign up directly on the Topbox website.

  1. I think it's a great box! I loved my philosophy box this month but I was really thinking about the 24clearit box because it looked like a great value but I just started a Murad acne regiment. I might have a small regret though! :)

    1. I tried the Murad starter kit from Sephora. I love the Oil Control Mattifier with SPF. So much so I bought a full size!

  2. I got the TopBox too … although it confused me at first. I thought I won it, and then realized it was a choice I had made earlier. My son is using it and seems to like it. Is it just me, or has it taken forever for April to ship? And has anyone else received an invitation to choose a limited edition box? So many questions ………...

    1. Topbox doesn't ship until the 15th of the month now. They made that change a couple of months ago. I had to check my e-mail trash to double check, but yes, we did get the wish list selection e-mail March 25th and then the add-on selection e-mail on March 29th. I have no idea what the wish list selections were... I recall there only being two and I opted for the regular box.

    2. I know :) It just feels longer than that. I think I opted for the regular box too, but that too seems like so long ago that I've forgotten. Happy Monday!

  3. So have you used it yet? Does it work? I've been using for a few weeks now.. and it has made my skin red and botchy with dry patches. UGGGHH. how to fix...

    1. I haven't used it yet as I don't have the need for it at the moment. If your skin is red and blotchy it could be an allergic reaction so best to stop using. Your skin should go back to normal.

    2. I have been using it now for a week to clear up a PMS breakout. I started with one product at a time as I was concerned about a reaction like you gals had. I had no issues. The cleanser is a bit abrasive so wouldn't be great for those with sensitive skin. I've used everything but the mask now. The PM Recovery Treatment worked wonders on the three very swollen, red, angry pimples I had on my chin. I was pretty impressed when I woke up.

  4. I tried using it 3 nights ago. I have since broke out in a reaction on my cheeks and forehead. They're tiny itchy bumps all along my skin. :( I'm hoping it clears up very soon. I used the exfoliator, toner and night treatment.

Unfortunately this didn't work out for me. (i get hormonal break outs every now and then)

    1. Sounds like you may have had an allergic reaction as well. Good to know this is happening. I might try one product at a time instead of all at once.
