The products chosen represent all genres from movies, television, video games, internet, and more! There are several Blocks to choose from: Nerd Block Classic, Gamer Block, Comic Block, Horror Block, Sci-Fan Block, Nerd Block Jr. Boys, and Nerd Block Jr. Girls. There's also a new, officially licensed, bi-monthly Dr. Who box! While boxes ship from within Canada, keep in mind that Nerd Block bills in US dollars.

First look!

The theme for the April Classic Block is "Best Dressed Villains". I like the sounds of this!

Here is a peek at the products.

The April box was late this month because of an issue with one of the products. We were first alerted to the issue by e-mail on April 19th, and updated again on April 26th. The box was supposed to include a a set of Deadshot plastic whiskey glasses, but the glasses arrived at the warehouse heavily scratched on all sides. Nerd block said they were "extremely disappointed with the quality of these items" so they didn't want to include them in the box. Shipping was delayed until the first week of June so they could source an alternate product. Nerd Block gave a masterclass in how to handle shipping delays. They communicated with customers early and continued to keep subscribers updated as things progressed. I was very impressed.

Marvel Doctor Strange Pint Glass
This was the substitute item for the whiskey glasses.

Sex Panther Cologne Bottle
This is inspired by the movie Anchorman. Fill the empty bottle with your favourite scent, and remember, 60% of the time, it works every time!

The Godfather Rose Pin
This enamel rose pin channels Corleone's style so you can make offers that people can't refuse.

The Joker Art Print and The Joker Suspenders
This art print was designed and printed exclusively for Nerd Block. The matching suspenders are the bomb, because fashion is no laughing matter.

Dressed to Kill T-Shirt
This Bond inspired shirt is outfitted with all the latest spy tech. Just remember, martinis are to be shaken, not stirred.

The April Nerd Block Classic included six items themed around "Best Dressed Villains". It's a great theme and it's executed well.. Although, I don't think bond is a villain! Most of these items are Nerd Block exclusives so I couldn't do a true valuation, but the box is only $19.99 US plus shipping, so these items are definitely worth more than the box cost. The best part about April is seeing Nerd Block's excellent customer service in action.
